Branch offices


ONRSR has branch offices in Adelaide (Central Branch), Sydney (New South Wales Branch), Melbourne (Victoria Branch), Perth (Western Australia Branch) and Brisbane (Queensland Branch). 

Central Branch

The Central Branch office provides operational regulatory staff to cover rail operations under the RSNL in South Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory. Under the RSNL, all forms of rail transport (e.g. train and tram) are regulated by ONRSR in these jurisdictions.

New South Wales Branch

The NSW Branch office provides operational regulatory staff to cover rail operations under the RSNL in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Under the RSNL, all forms of rail transport (e.g. train and tram) are regulated by ONRSR in NSW and the ACT.

Queensland Branch

The Queensland Branch office provides operational regulatory staff to cover rail operations under the RSNL in Queensland. Under the RSNL, all forms of rail transport (e.g. train and tram) are regulated by ONRSR in Queensland (except where excluded under the Act).

Victoria Branch

The Victoria Branch office provides operational regulatory staff to cover rail operations under the RSNL in Victoria. Light rail (trams) and some Tourist and Heritage operations are excluded from the RSNL in Victoria and will continue to be regulated by TSV.

Western Australia Branch

The WA Branch office provides operational regulatory staff to cover rail operations under the RSNL in Western Australia. Under the RSNL, all forms of rail transport (e.g. train and tram) are regulated by ONRSR in WA.
