Accreditation


The purpose of Accreditation of a Rail Transport Operator (RTO) in respect of railway operations is to attest that the RTO has demonstrated to the National Rail Safety Regulator the competence and capacity to manage risks to safety associated with railway operations.

The National Operations team manages the administration of applications associated with Accreditations including the following:

An RTO intending to submit an application is encouraged to contact the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator to discuss requirements prior to lodgement of the application.

Applicants should refer to the Schedule of Fees to determine if costs are applicable.
