Variation of accreditation

Accredited rail transport operators (RTO) proposing change to their operations, or the conditions or restrictions of their accreditation, may be required to submit a variation to their accreditation.

An RTO applying for a variation of accreditation should allow at least 6 months for ONRSR to assess the application and are advised to contact ONRSR early in the process to clarify the requirements.

To apply for a variation of accreditation an RTO must complete the Application for Variation of Accreditation Form. This form should be submitted to ONRSR with attached supporting documentation describing the changes to their safety management system.
