Rail Safety Report

ONRSR has published its Rail Safety Report 2015–2016, which covers the 2015 to 2016 financial year reporting period for the jurisdictions it regulates – South Australia, New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Tasmania, the Northern Territory, Western Australia and the majority of railways in Victoria. 

The Rail Safety Report provides a review of rail industry safety performance based on the notifiable occurrence reporting required under the Rail Safety National Law

ONRSR has reported on safety performance using a combination of analyses focused on areas considered to be those of greatest safety risk, supplemented by reporting using the national occurrence classification framework – OC-G1.
