In late 2023, Infrastructure and Transport Ministers asked the Chief Executive and Regulator to review the proposed cost recovery model to present a revised approach to Ministers by the end of 2024.
ONRSR submitted a revised model to Ministers in late 2024, however with the review of the Rail Safety National Law underway, Ministers requested that further work be deferred until the review is completed to allow the new model to consider ONRSR’s revised cost of regulation.
