ONRSR to Host International Railway Safety Council: Sydney 2027

IRSC is the world's leading forum dedicated to railway safety, bringing together regulators, industry professionals, and safety experts from around the globe to share knowledge, best practices, and innovations that advance railway safety worldwide.

Announced at the official launch event for IRSC 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal, the 2027 event will bring to Sydney global railway safety leaders for their prestigious annual gathering. Preparations are already underway to deliver a landmark conference that will advance international collaboration and innovation in railway safety.

Dr Natalie Pelham, Chief Executive of ONRSR, was proud to welcome the international railway community – along with our Australian colleagues – to Sydney.

“Railway networks around the world are becoming more and more complex which presents challenges for safety but also opportunities for innovative solutions,” Dr Pelham said.
